EDX London is following a new and independent vision, which centres on transforming our derivatives markets to become a global derivatives exchange. To achieve our vision and to better serve our customers we must be operating on agile and robust technology as well as provide market participants with a flexible and innovative market structure.
Achieving this vision starts with EDX London switching to SOLA trading technology in November 2009. SOLA is a leading technology platform developed by the TMX Group. It is currently used to trade Canadian derivatives at Montreal Exchange and US equity options at Boston Options Exchange.
Adopting SOLA allows EDX to move onto next generation trading technology to deliver an enhanced derivatives market with greater scalability, lower latency, more product choice and new trading opportunities.
EDX will continue to partner with Oslo Børs using SOLA to provide members with linked trading and clearing across the full range of Nordic and Russian derivatives products we have today.
